Art Therapy is provided by a licensed and credentialed therapist who uses the discipline of art to help our patients express hard to access feelings or use art as a means to begin communication about a particular traumatic event. Art therapy is not "arts and crafts", but a highly skilled component of addiction treatment.

Recreational Therapy is provided by a master's level therapist with a background in "rec" therapy. Again, recreational therapy is not going to the gym, but using forms of recreation to improve communication skills, develop trust and relationship building. It can also be a vehicle in learning how to express rage, resentment and pain from the past. As with art therapy, rec therapy plays a huge part in your addiction treatment experience.

Family Recovery is a component of our drug addiction treatment that is heralded as the most powerful experience patients and family members participate in. This three day occurrence takes into consideration all the aspects of the family system and looks to heal the pain from the past, while presenting everyone with hope for a bright future. Our licensed family therapist is able to incorporate the teachings of addiction treatment with those of the family systems approach to recovery.
